This medium golden wine (a blend of 80% Roussanne and 20% Clairette) displays aromas and flavors of honeysuckle, butterscotch, pears and caramel. Medium bodied and somewhat round on the palate, its alcohol (13%) is seamless and its mouth texture is smooth. Medium in length and supple on the finish, this is a Southern Rhone white which is worthy of purchase. A bit more acid would have vaulted it into the "outstanding" category. Drink now-2016.
