Well, in a surprising turn of events, this was a bit of a stinker. I had a bottle of this back in January and it was stellar: great fruit, loaded with secondary characteristics, lengthy finish. This bottle? Not so much. In fact, it was down right boring: no nose, no flavors, and I just hoped it would soon be finished. Needless to say, this was not what I had hoped and proved the old adage: "There are no good wines, only good bottles." thedrunkencyclist.com

My in-laws have been in town for three weeks and they will be here at least a few more days. My father-in-law loves to drink wine, and although he tries, he really can’t grasp it. Thus, after he had long gone to sleep, I ventured into the cellar and pulled out this gem. My ever-so-wise brethren here on CT suggest that this should have been popped way back in 2014. Huh? After open a bit, nice fruit, complexity, balance and verve. What is not to like? Other than the broken cork, not much. thedrunkencyclist.com

I'd love to make and argument for the restrained classic pinot style with this wine, but It's frankly thin and lacking interest, although it may be one of those late bloomers so I'll wait to see what happens. Otherwise a very drinkable unoffensive wine.
