Last bottle of the vintage for me. Pepper, lavender and blue fruit on the nose still. Again that spicy entry, with a little tingle on the palate, and soft but still present tannins. Hints of plum, garrigue and cola as well. Lovely and lithe but quite savoury and dry, though not drying. Possibly on the way down, but still drinking beautifully.

A bit below the last one, black fruit, spices, I had different bottles of this during the last years’ some more evolved than others, anyhow finish up your 2008 bottles.

Ripe fruit on the nose and on the palate: Black cherries and blackberries, earthy notes, spices. A very good effort for such a difficult year. Now on the top of its drinking window.

Spicy, black fruit and meaty nose, taste is peppery, black cherries, cassis, with air density is added, very long, meaty. Excellent showing for a so so year. According to Bernard, his Hermitages can be drunk on the fruit the first 1 or 2 years, then forget them and come back after 10 years. I am surprised how this wine gets « civilized ». Very good! There is space for going upward.

Black and sour cherries, spices, meaty notes, from a difficult year, very good right now, but I doubt about any further positive development.
