Nez de fruits noir, viande fumée, cuir
Bouche sur le fruit noir, acidité moyenne +, tannins fermes mais agréable.
Bel équilibre, longueur moyenne sur le chocolat et le goudron

Quite serious for a Crozes with lots of depth and structure. There is lovely dark berry fruit along with a smooth, savory texture and tons of crunchy acidity. The finish is still tannic showing subtle notes of smoky spices, olive tapenade, mint and bacon fat. The purity in this wine for the price is really quite amazing and this should be special in another 5-10 years. About a decade ago I had a bottle of the '59 which was fabulous so the track record for aging here kinda defies logic. 92+
