Very nice and smooth, excellent shape now. Integrated soft tannins, some forest fruit, tiny bit of leather on the background. Good length and an overall aroma that is typical for Gigondas.

Some say this is past its prime I disagree. Leather, mulberry, dark cherry, tinge of cedar, there is a slight tartness to it that I can’t put my finger on...maybe sour cherry. A warm twist of baking spices and is that baked celery? Smooth, velvety tannins. Bought back in 2013 to cellar...sad this was my last bottle.

Drinking well. Herbs and fresh raspberry on the nose, vibrant red cherry in the glass. Hallmarks of fresh grenache on the palate, kirsch, tapenade fresh raspberry with a fresh finish framed with noticeable acidity.. Plenty to like, great with food, and a benchmark for high quality traditional gigondas.
