Bottle purchased on release and stored perfectly was inexplicably oxidized and undrinkable. I have had dozens of wines from this estate -including this and older vintages- with no issues. I will chalk this one up to bad luck and move on....

Lots of black cherry, liquorice, kirsch and herbal elements on the nose. Full bodied and super fresh on the palate with plenty of acidity and structure at age 10 or so. The finish is medium plus.
Drink now or hold for another 5 years plus in a cold cellar- but why wait?

Dark fruit medley, supple soft tannins, low acidity, excellent balance. This is in a fantastic place right now. Probably my favorite Southern Rhone producer, and a screaming value.

The last of these bottles. A transcendent wine, and along with the 2010 Les Souteyrades, among the best QPR that I have experienced. Some bricking, strikingly fresh and lifted. Excellent tension and precision. This bottle had at least a decade of life ahead of it. Improvement seems likely. 95-96.

Phenomenal QPR for this deep berried, balanced wine.
