Golden yellow color. Aromas of caramel popcorn, apricot, pear, honey and hazelnut. Very rich and exotic aromas. The palate is full of plump pear fruit, along with apricot jam. The toasty flavors remind me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, maybe with a bit of honey on it. But there's also some solid acid in here, which makes this a lot better (in my palate) than some of the low acid California counterparts. It's rich and unashamed, yes, but it's solidly-made stuff. I liked this better than the 2005 I had over Thanksgiving, probably because this is just younger and more focused at this early age.
