toffee, apricot, mango, honey; as before, acidity is less, but there is enuf going on that it is not at all cloying; still has plenty of texture and fruit

clor is orange punch with a bit of saffron; still has plenty of fruit with yellow peach, mango, and a bit of citrus; acidity seems less but the mild sweetness is counteracted by some savory notes so it isn't cloying--aging but still enjoyable

cork wet and falling apart, but removed in two parts; butterscotch in color; smooth apricot with peach, caramel, quince and a trace of honey; this has aged very well

This is excellent, not at all past its prime, despite what the drinking window says (although admittedly it's unlikely to get any better). It's still tasting lush, all those stunning secondary and tertiary riesling characters are there - dried apricot, peach, cinder toffee, burnt caramel - and the finish has that really decisive chalky acidity that marks out ageworthy Riesling. Wonderful.

nose of smoky (?grilled) apricots; mix of light saffron and turmeric in color; full mouth feel; apricot, mango and yellow peach with tertiary smoothness, then a hint of honey balanced by good acidity; still more savory than sweet; soft and slightly short finish; overall, a nice new sensation, albeit not for everyone (M wouldn't drink it--all the more for me).
