Pleasant not memorable. Tannin dark fruit but no richness or distinct finish. Reminescent of old Durley's cab in earlY 80's Did go well with lamb bolognese over paperadellle

If I take the rating scale seriously enough I should give it two different grades: this is quintessential Californian Cabernet Sauvignon with lots to recommend it for those who like these wines. The problem is I am not a fan, and having recognised this wine's certain qualities I cannot ignore its overriding shortcomings: a lack of any subtlety, a lack of depth of diverse flavours, the aftertaste that disappears before you get the sip over with - all the standard repertoir of good or even decent European wines. Back on a positive side this wine offers very unusual and perfectly pleasant and very strong bouquet with a deep, almost blackish redc color that is nothing short of beautiful. All this is followed with a strong alcohol-filled mouthful that burns powerfully through the mouth. The feeling many drinkers of Californian Cabernets probably appreciate and enjoy. Hence, not being judgemental, i give it a score directly between 90 and 80.

My last bottle :( a organic cab that belies the six years aging with no SO2: beautiful deep red color; plum,Red fruit, black cheryl; soft round like a merlot of old days. Sad I didn't buy a case.
