Decanted about 1 hour. 5 years since the last bottle. It took a while to open and blossom but when it did, yummy. Bold and dark with spice and bite. This is a Beast. Really drinking well right now.

Not sure what Dan and Veronica were drinking....and Caleb was still the winemaker in 2010 - kinda hard for the winemaker to change the characteristics of wines already in the bottle when he/she leaves....ridiculous (vindictive?) review. This wine is coming into its own - smoother tannins and big,big varietal punch. Agree maybe not best QPR but easily worthy of a 90 plus rating. Could probably improve with 3-5 more years in bottle. Sorry this was my last (only) bottle

Wow was this bad! There is very little to note about this one-dimensional miss. It is thin, no balance, and the taste is just not there. I was shocked because I love this winery. I called the tasting room and they offered no explanation, but I did do a search on what could have happened...it was as suspected: Caleb is no longer the winemaker. I think there was a divorce but for whatever reason he is not the artist and someone else with considerably less skill is making the wine now. Sad to see such a great winery go away.

Abig malbec with little tannin. The best Malbec I have tasted in recent years. The price point is high compared to South Americans the taste is full bodied. Gorgeous color. and ripe with fruit, tastes of plum earth and maybe a hint of raisin. Highest recommendation. In a blind tasting with five others, 9 out of ten people in our group selected this as the best.

A complex earthiness but still a bit tannic and sharp. A favorite from the region.
