Wines from Aubert - always a pleasure - last tasted one year ago, the wine has improved; light golden color with long legs - nose with citrus fruits with a little cilantro - rich and smooth palate with mineralic flavors - long finish - drunk in a riedel montrachet glass

Color OK, but fruit freshness gone. Can't rate because of noticeable oxidative aftertaste; only 1 btl left to compare this to, but would be very wary of cellaring this vintage any longer. Hopefully, just this btl.

Wine from Aubert - always something magic because of La Romanee Conti - but this is an excellent Rully and the next better wine of Aubert is the Montrachet; light yellow color with long legs -nose with mineral fragrance and exotic fruit, mango and papaya - taste very balanced but a little too light; hints of honey and tannin, finish ok but not very long - properly made burgundy but miles from Montrachet - goes good with fish or seafood

The Rully Les Saint-Jacques 2009 from the Domaine A. et P. de Villaine seemed a bit reserved and inscrutable to me. The bouquet appeared very upstage. I think I spotted some herbs and green'ish lemons!? The taste seemed reserved or shy or something else …, too. I got mild green herbs, mute lemon flavours and quite a lot of smoothness. The balance seemed fine, but hard to define! Can't rate this one, although I'd like to imagine to see some potential!
