  • A very elegant and balanced wine, with ripe melon, pepita seeds, lanolin and a hint of tangerine. There are now also some secondary funky characteristics coming through and this wine is extremely moorish right now. The palette, has plenty of depth, just the right acid backbone and the good old matchstick makes an appearance in the tight and mineral finish. In a great place right now.

  • Notes of white pear, apricot, kiwi, slate-y mineral. Fresh with loads of acidity.

  • Opulent generous white lightly toasted nuts and oak. Almost napa like on first impressions but delivering burg like pristine fruits. A good in betweener.

  • Colour: Yellow straw colours already, despite being an '07.
Nose: Stinky petroleum first, then funky meat shop, toasted nuts, green almonds and dried apricots. One taster said that it was specifically Tilton apricots, but I haven't heard of them! Also glacé mandarine.
Palette: Massive mouthful of crisp acid and vanillin. Flint and kiwi fruit with a delicate citrus - predominantly lemon. Very rich and complex.
Overall: Massive, well rounded white burgundy.
Cellaring: Don't drink yet as this is only going to get better. If you do decide to crack one now, you will still enjoy it. Drink 2012 to 2016.
