As a big fan of Tapteil CS, and Tapteil wines across the board, I was expecting a richer, and more fruit forward wine. Very enjoyable, but probably a bit on the decline.

The bouquet gives away the wine's Red Mountain provenance. A huge Cabernet Sauvignon that features unbridled tannic structure and grip. Nicely balanced. A great example of affordable Red Mountain CS unmasked by oak, and unrestrained in style.

A stunning wine! The Lovely perfumed nose, typical of Tapteil Vineyard, shows loads of Red Mountain terroir and beautiful dark fruits. The wine features a lush, full mouthfeel with sturdy, yet polished, 'sweet' tannins. Great structure and finish. Perfect use of oak. Consumed over four days. Awesome! 94-95.

Very dark, rich color, ripe dark fruit tones. Tannins are moderate but not harsh. I taste a little earthiness and minerality typical of Red Mountain. A wonderful mouth feel and a nice finish. This is a good wine to enjoy with a grilled ribeye steak, and then to sip on afterwards!
