  • Showing advance development with tertiary notes. It has passed its prime and should be drink up.
Dark garnet core, cloudy hue and brownish tinge clearly showing the age.
On the nose, earth, leather, dried fruits intermix with honeyed, coffee, cedar oak and sweet nutty notes.
It has funky mushroom notes initially but open up gradually to show earthy, leather, dried cherry with hints of sweet spice. Smooth and mellow down on palate, it lack some serious mid-palate to carry through. Soft velvety tannins with medium finish.

  • Expensive Winos for dinner (Frederiksberg): Still quite fresh - and most people was guessing 2004; this was preferred in the line up with Giacci Piccomini , all though this brunello flight was fading generally, compared to the quite flamboyant wines served. This is classic brunello, demonstrating the longevity of the genre, complete with a dry, strict exterior, nice ripe fruit, minerality, spices. Bravo.
