  • if confected/sweet fruited noses are your world, this might seem savoury; sweet berry fruit, a little oak, and not a lot else; but it is very drinkable (gluggable) if you don't want to think about it. Not refreshing, but gluggable. And not bad quality-wise for $22, but I wouldn't bother again since the Tu-Boeuf above is less money!

  • Dark and red fruit nose with some oak toast and herbs.
Fullbodied palate with slight grip and balancing acidity. Toasty notes, liquorice and strawberry fruit in the decent length aftertaste.
Quite alright, but a bit one-dimensional.

  • Decanted over one hour.Vibrant dark plummy nose.Medium bodied, very smooth, ripe dark plummy fruit with rather soft and gentle tannins/acidity to back up the palate. Slight hint of liquorice on the finish. Not a fruitbomb but a nicely balanced, almost elegant baby that was quite delicious.Didn´t work very well with the mediterranean chicken dish but was great on its own.

  • After aeration there is some Cognac-y notes of oak and caramel surrounding the aromas of dark and red fruits. On the mouth the wine is round and smooth with some acidity and only a little tannins. Strong, a little rustic and pretty chocolatey oak aromas on the palate complemented by peculiar hints of liquorice. Lengthy finish with some heat, mouthwatering acidity and some notes of cocoa and dark fruits in the aftertaste. I was expecting an over-extracted fruit bomb, but was greeted by a spicy, elegant and well balanced wine made in the Southern-French or Northern-Spanish style. Well worth the money (14,84€).
