Bright, deep color. Typical shiraz both on the nose and palate. Has developed from the pure fruit into something more complex. Pepper, coffee and tobacco. Drink now.

I'm not normally into Aussie Shiraz but I had this one recommended about a year ago when it was on sale. Pink rim with a dark purple core. Decanted for about 2 hours, it showed a nose of blueberries, blackberries, spices and lots of vanilla from the new american oak. Full-bodied and powerful but rather sweet and simple. Matched the zuppo di pomodoro con panchetta nicely but nothing extraordinary in itself.

Nice wine still alive. Bit heavy and confused by the end. but never the less a good wine.
