Wendouree is an upmarket Clare Valley winery. Clare is a South Australian region known more for it whites. Was interested to try this Muscat. It really is very flat and subdued, very thin, lacking depth, richness. Don't like it all. It has veiled orange, tangerine and toffee flavours. This is a Sauterne masquerading as a Muscat. Very disappointing

Golden colour with a hint of orange. Orange blossom, sherbert, rich and bright, floral, alluring. Orange jam, apricots, some bitter marmalade, zesty and spicey, rich intense flavours, strong honey, white flowers, some minerality, good acidity. Excellent depth of flavour.

Texturally it's very lean and not too viscous for my liking. Not a huge amount of complexity on the palate but the aromas are gorgeous; I was getting strong notes of dried apricot, prunes, marzipan, baking spice, honey... Very enjoyable

Giuseppe Cortese Barbaresco Verticals (Sydney, Australia): Passion fruit, raisin and pineapple with a little alcohol sticking out. Palate lacks depth.
