First impression: Wow! It has aged really well. Bought from cellar door while visiting Australia in 2012, I have waited for this moment. The nose is balanced with black berries, some vanilla, some cellar notes and cassis. The taste is harmonic with many nuances like black berries, cassis, herbs, some acidic tones but again very balanced. The mouthfeel of still some tannins around tells it could age a few more years but they are quite smooth and I would say the wine is at its peak now.
This wine has aged gracefully and met my high expectations.

Cool blue fruits and some menthol on the nose, fruit is more soft red cola but with a lovely touch of stalkiness - would almost pick this for Coonawarra , finishes with a savoury touch of brambles and undergrowth - very nice and no rush

Dense black colour with red hue. Blackberry, olive, chocolate, spice and a eucalyptus finish. Full bodied, smooth tannin, slightly acidic. Very enjoyable wine.

This surprised me on the upside. It had more structure and savoury notes than I expected. Typical Hunter earthiness with spice, plum and redcurrant. I would say drinking at or near its peak, though there was no sign of it fading. Now I wish I had another bottle or 2.

2 hour decant. Spicey nose with just a hint of herbs and a touch of black fruit coming through at the back. Palate is black fruit, but mostly earthy and dry leather, and a little lean, in a nice way. Lots of dry tannins. Good medium finish. Very solid and enjoyable medium weight hunter Shiraz. Wish I had a few more, will definitely take some age with style.
