Nose shows notes of roast capsicum, red cherry, and raspberry, with a hint of brown vinegar. Palate is similar to the nose, with strong flavours of red cherry and roast capsicum alongside more decayed notes of dirt and leather. There is a hint of salt and vinegar, and a touch of cocoa in the background. This is holding up very well: there are signs of advanced age, but the wine hasn't lost its fruit, and it was still good an hour or two after it was first opened and tasted.

Really very nice. Deep inky black colour; quite a fragrant spicy nose, palatte with sweet fruit and violets opens up with time to a really raspberry and loganberry fruit. Sophistication of a Cote Rotie. Good length and well rounded. Lovely.

Still drinking well - earthy tones with soft tannins still evident - very smooth
