  • lots of fruit left with silky tannins and nuances of spice. Lots of sediment in the last glass but easily filtered. still remarkably fresh.

  • Full ruby red & did not decant. Enjoyable aromas of blackberry and raw meat. Very thick in the mouth, in fact the sediment deposit was HUGE at the end! Typical WA syrah character of blueberry pie, fully integrated oak, and almost "grapey" character. Tannins are round, leading to an enjoyable finish. A wine that I may have enjoyed more a few years ago, as my syrah palate has steered towards old world examples, but this was certainly enjoyable nonetheless.
