Tasted blind. Not as good as previous bottles, this time it was decanted for an hour which helped to clean the aromas - it could lead you to chardonnay- but the wood was unfortunately too noticiable on palate. It has the structure and acidity to hold more time, as it needs to dissipate the wood and integrate itself but I am not sure if it ever will, feels just a bit disjointed. 90-91

Not drank under the best circumstances, after a very long lunch. Still, it left its mark. This was serious and powerful, aromatically appealing despite the still too present wood. Mid bodied, unctuous, with a well structure in palate. Each subsequent glass, the more I liked it, as it improved a lot. It would have benefited from some aeration or decant however I realize these Ossian wines do not improve - perhaps the opposite - if you keep a bottle and drink it during the following days. Definitely a wine for the long haul. I expect later vintages to be more approachable as, unlike 2009, almost no new wood is currently used.

Not sure how this wine could get any better. Maybe a little brighter fruit to go with the acid and oak but it was really good. Stone fruit with mineral framed in oak. The way it should be. It took me right to white burgundy. I would like to have this again
