The whole screw cap came off! Cap and sleeve, the whole shebang came off as one. I was expecting it to be oxidized since the seal must have been broken for some time, but I was greeted with a completely fresh wine. Very crunchy and intense lemony flavors, with apricot undertones, brisk acids, and a wonderful whiff of pine and honey. Delicious wine, if a bit more diffuse on the finish than I'd like.

A really good dry German riesling that tastes like I want a kabinett to taste: a light body defined by racy acidity; a palate endowed with minerality and yellow stone-fruit; a nose smelling of apricots and riesling; and just enough residual sugar to make it juicy and fun to drink.

Fresh Mosel citrus and pear fruit and herbs on a lightweight frame with an underpinning of slate. Refreshing and nicely balanced without ever seeming austere.
