  • DnP. Consistent and holding up very well. Always a fine elegant relatively dry style. Drink now-onwards

  • This wine is slowly loosing the fruit and leaving behind the acidity, the classic cherry-bitterness and the alcohol. Especially the alcohol is disturbing the balance here. Ragose's style is to the dry side of the Amarone spectrum and the dryness is there with softening tannins that I find very elegant. But overall the fruit is fading and I will drink my last bottle soon.

  • Full of character on the nose with dried fruit, chocolate and dried herbs & spiciness A very nice rich Amarone with freshness and depth, Drinking well, no hurry.

  • Deep dark like a ruby on a black background Legs are huge they could race against the Jamaican sprint team Initial nose was earthy like mushrooms growing from a compost pile. Once settled nice bouquet cherry coke soft chocolate some garden vegetable Maybe a hint of anise. Soft on entry tart fruit little sweetness a bit more acid than expected Tannins rounding out a bit jumbled finish about 15 seconds. Last glass has gotten interesting picking up some coffee grounded fresh deeper fruit. Nose is a plus 90 palate is in the high 80s . Had with some Lancaster goat cheese (Baby swiss) and sharp farm cheddar and out of desperation a Donald trump chocolate bar and milk duds. It all came together. Did the pennhurst asylum haunted house this evening. and the cheese and wine was my after scare treat Wine was good went well with the cheese. Maybe these not quite big amarone wines will be my Halloween scare treat this October. FYI looking for a October scare the pennhurst attraction was pretty darn good.

  • Dark blackish garnet colored, full bodied, intense, unctuous black berry raisin with a layer of alcohol and bitter dark chocolate notes with bright acidity on a thick tongue coating finish.

Tasted from wine list at Italian Village Vivere restaurant in Chicago.
