Nose of woodsy cherry with a slight earthiness and minerality. Very aromatic. The palate is a great show of fruit (woodsy cherry), earth (mushroom), and minerality that is usually found in a higher priced village or higher Burgundy. Sharp and focused. this is a great entry level Bourgogne giving hints at all that great Burgundy can be.
Had this with a Sushi variety plate and it did fantastic! Had tuna, salmon, sea bass, shrimp, and a more delicate white fish (can't remember exactly what), California roll and a side of Gyoza. This was augmented by the food or highlighted the food in every case except the tuna, and even this pair wasn't a clash, simply stripped the wine down to a stemy, woodsy flavor devoid of all fruit, mineral or even the musroomy earth.
This is truly a good Bourgogne at a competitive price. A must try!

Quintissential Pinot Noir nose.
Lovely fruity attack, dry with plenty of tannin (soft), clean and long finish.
