Deep color and surprisingly fresh on the nose. Blue fruits young at start and more aging tones after some time in the glass. Leather, autumn leaf and thyme etc . Very complex and refined. Very long and multilayered taste. A fantastic wine!

(Decanted for one hour) Deep red colour with a maturing nose showing a dark and round nose with lovely notes of barn, stables and spiciness at first and opens up with violet and liquorice in a delicious way. Drying fruit on the palate backed up by a pleasant acidity and leaving a pleasant herbal touch on the lengthy finish. So balanced and so delicious right now and perfect with fillet of venison. (Best 2016-2026)

This bottle, compared to the last bottle I had in May, seemed younger. Like the oak maybe could still resolve more. Certainly an argument that this has life left. But it’s very good now.

Funny to see the community drink dates ending at 2015... this baby is beautiful right now, and was surely way too oaky early on. Sweaty locker room and dry dirt on the nose, with rich cherry and aged oak notes, alongside bright acid and some mild tannin. Glad I picked up a bottle of this at a cellar clearance site... great buy for $39.

Notre dernier, à boire, il perd tranquillement son fruit et sa rondeur, même s’il demeure ttrèa vif.
