leave this well alone for another 10 years. very shut down right now, primary and well endowed. just hasn't unfurled its feathers. dark fruits, ripe, broody, concentrated. awkward teenager phase.

La Paulée Chevalier Fête (Saison - San Francisco CA): First time tasting this since barrel tasting in Sept 2010. So very ripe and still almost primary. Very powerful, very long but not really showing much else right now, except some spice at the finish. So much here, but nowhere near accessible. Clearly 95+ points, but I won't open my single bottle until 2029 or later.

Apicius. A wine that reminds me of the Merovingian, like wiping your *mouth* with silk... still deep purple, with lightly floral and primary aromatics. Pure velvet texture with sweet, blue-ish fruit that lasts for days.

Deep dark red fruit, with wood notes remaining on the nose. Very young and primary. 95+
