With some bright fruit on the nose. Rather beautiful on the nose and the palate. Extraordinary actually. Bright and fresh, showing no signs of slowing down. Darn that is super good.

Deep dark purple color. Blackberry and savory aromas. Really smooth and elegant, but powerful. Served with hasselback kielbasa with a honey/ dijon glaze on a bed of roasted onions, fennel and peppers (Barefoot Contessa recipe), so a lot of flavors going on (sweet honey, richness of the dijon, a bit of spice in the kielbasa). The Sangre paired beautifully and had great acidity. Had a glass after dinner and sang beautifully solo, with a very extended and complex finish. In a great window now. Opened 15 minutes before starting to drink, so no decant.

Yummy…and wifey really liked it. She drank more of this bottle that typical…so it must be really good right? This vintage is ready to open now…don’t wait any longer.

Pronounced nose intensity with note of black fruits, spices, cassis, toast. Medium+ acidity and high tannin.

Tasting: Showed typical mature syrah notes, but wait another 5 years or so for this wine to fully blossom. Very promising.
