Wine may have been past peak but that does not mean it was bad. It has that peat nose but was very balanced and drinkable. The wife does not share the same appreciation I have for aged wines but she was still okay with it. Not a great wine at all but I enjoyed it alone without food.

Quite nice for the price. Didn't know what to expect from this one. Relatively run of the mill merlot, so could have been a bad experience. Very nice nose. Fruit, blackberry, dark cherry. Went well with spicy mexican food. Nice balance to wine with no appreciable alcohol spike

bouquet of wood and berries, medium body, palate of oak and red fruit, short finish, it has past its prime.

Went well with Indian food, chicken tikka masala & and chicken sag. At its peak, aged well, smooth, quelled spicyness of the food.
