Still needs time in the glass to unfurl, suggest to wait another 6 months on more bottles. Decent balance, not too buttery (although noticably fuller than Lafon's Macon) and slightly mineral. Ok, but I prefer Lafon's Macon or Kumeu at this price point.

This was ok last year (I rated it around 88/89), but the fruit has begun fading badly, and it is disjointed and tart... and only gets worse in the glass. Consitent experience for my last 3 bottles (I would not even finish a glass). Drink or pass on remaining bottles. The 2008 was a much better vintage, and is still going. This isn't.
Edit: recorked with only 1/4 glass poured, I visited this 3 days later and it was much better! I'd rate at 87/88 level. Have resealed the rest in an air-tight bottle and will try next week. My guess is that this (or at least my case, admittedly left out so probably been getting warm) is somehow in an awkward phase - didn't think they had those in Macon! Anyway, retry later in the year after it's been in a conditioner to settle.

Good lush orchard fruit aromas with attractive minerality. Seems a little short of energy right now with fruit that is starting to fade. Not quite as good as I recall from 2 years ago but still nice.

Fine Vines Warehouse Tasting (Fine Vines - Melrose Park IL): Walk around tasting, brief note. From magnum. Rich character, showing the 2009 vintage with mature stone fruit. Time to drink up, even in this format.

A private dinner (Restaurant Boreas **, Heeze, Netherlands): Ripe, creamy, hint of honey, flowers, good fruit, lovely light touch in the oak treatment, nice touch of fat but elegant and with good minerality and length.
