Plenty of red fruit, smoked flavors, mouth coating, more red fruit on palate, and very good acidity. This shows on the young side still and has room for further evolution. It's in a great spot if you like it with good volume and freshness - not showing oxidative notes at all. 92-93

A small gathering with COVID safety measures at Bryan's (Undisclosed location in McLean, VA): Light cooper with some yellow. Delicate yet energetic nose displaying subtle red fruit, strawberry water, cherry, granny smith, light caramel, cooper, spicy spices and limestone. Beautifully integrated harmonious palate, finely layer subtle red fruit, exceptional precision, freshness and focus, fine generous mousse, bright acidity and strong mineral, and a long subtle red fruit driven finish with cooper and limestone at the end. The finish is very dry. Perhaps expressing the 08 vintage, very focused and precise.

Reunion Dinner in DC (Red Hen - Washington, DC): A beautiful wine that had a lot of lush fruit and floral elegance while remaining cool and sleek. At the core, there was really nice strawberries, cherries, and lime. Palate was edgy with great bite and balance. In a great place today, and I'm curious how much better it will get.

This is so damn good. One of the very most elegant rose you'll ever find. Small red berry fruit (cranberry, raspberry) and cherry. Mineral. Orange skin with some white oreo cookie dough. Very fine and discreet bubbles. Super high acidity but this is perfectly balanced. Very long finish. Superb. Bottle #985

2008 Based. Showed a superb nose right away. Gourmand but austere at the same time, small red berry fruit with some blood orange and mandarin (think Selosse rose without the minerality and savory notes). Palate is much tighter and this was much more balanced and open after decanting. More austerity on the palate but always balanced, a little tannic grip. Vinous. Will be great in 4-5 years when more tertiary notes will appear.
