Dyp rød med sort kjerne. Lukt: Kokte mørke bær. Solbær. Litt treverk og krydder. Rundt anslag. Meget kraftig midtparti dominert av mørke bær. Fruktig. Rund. Sitter lenge igjen i ganen og etterhvert merkes effekten av litt tanniner, men de er relativt godt integrert.
En kraftig velbalansert Amarone

Describing an Amarone is fairly straightforward: lots of prunes, licorice, jammy, dense, powerful, smoky, etc. Besides the usual ones, you'll find some animalistic notes and cherrywood. Finish is not as long as I would have expected, but quite enjoyable. A minimum of 3 hours of decanting is a must. Trust me, it gets better the loger it airs.

Used my new coravin with aerator and poured 2 glasses. Wow is this good. Smooth and velvety with notes of sweet dark cherry, tobacco, and maybe plums.

Aromas of mulberry, dark cherry and smoke. Baked cherries and plum flavors with notes of baking spices. Christmas in a glass.

Second Sunday Group: Pinot Noir (Augie's): Nice bouquet of dark berry jam, with pepper and spice underneath. Ripe dark fruit on the palate with a long finish.
