Still like those wine. A bit short on the finish, butngreat fruit. Integrating well. Refreshing break from California oak. Very nice and still good for a few years.

Very, very Californian, minus the over-the-top oakiness. Is that really Pinot Noir? Victim, or benefactor, of its vintage, depending on your perspective. I know people who would really like this. I'm just not one of them.

The heat of 2003 is apparant. Nice, ripe, round, good annic structure, almost more californian. Really great bottle and would stand up to much more expensive. This is the value of pedigree. I would and have paid a lot more for a wine of this caliber. Way to go Alex! Great suggestion, many (10+) years of life ahead of it

Brown at the rim. Intense damsons and red fruit

Still strongly marked by the vintage, something that is never likely to fade. Not what I'm personally looking for in a wine, let alone a Pinot Noir.
