Serious concentration with suave yet unresolved structure. Opens nicely with time and brings house style Vosne spice and silkiness. Not quite ready. Better in 2-3 years.

2009 red Burgundies, TDS x CMJ (Chicago, IL): Probably the best of the 09 red Burgundies on the table tonight. This is showing quite young and the nose was closed at first, but air brought out a nice mix of perfumed red and black fruit. The palate is quite large-scaled with lots going on here overall. Needs time for the tannins to peel back somewhat, as this doesn't drink very Chambolle to me right now.

Spicy and racy with loads of bright red fruit - raspberry, ripe cranberry, cassis.. Some oak and spice but in balance, and lovely damp cave / mineral / wet slate touch of forest floor Burgundian goodness.

Big, oaky, fruity, full of fine sediment. You'll want to stand this up for a couple of days and be conservative when decanting it. Went well with beef bourguignon.

9/24/2021 - Drankard Does not like this wine:
First time with this producer, not what I expected. Not even sure this was Pinot. Very modern, very oaky.
