This was really quite lovely. The nose initially shows some savory iron/blood nose, game meat and then following are ripe dark fruits, floral, some damp earthy humus, and just a hint of spice. The palate is ripe, but has good freshness and there is still underlying structure. This is good and is still fairly primary. Very good and still has room for improvement.
Interestingly this seems a little bit discombobulated on night 2. The nose shows caramelly oak notes which I didn't pick up night 1; the fruit and floral notes are less prominent. There is a nice forest floor note that has developed and there is still the pleasant sauvage notes. The palate still shows some structure and remains tasty if a little bit heavier. Still enjoyable no doubt, but different on night 2.

Lovely bright youthful fruity Nuits, dark and sleek, deep fruit and really refreshing palate. Opened up to ripe plum, hint of wet tea leaves/tobacco, black olive. Great.

Pure silk in the glass and mouth. Wonderfully viscous with well integrated, silky tannins. Core of dark cherry fruit with a jamminess not often seen in 1er cru red burgs. Toasted oak is evident along with spice box to round out the excellent flavour profile. Acidity is present I would think this wine is still good in 15 years

Solid red burg that was drinking well. No detailed notes but remember enjoying. Improved after an hour or in the glass.
