Tasted double blind. I correctly identified this as 2011 Burgundy 1er Cru, but thought it from Gevrey. Black fruit with leather, woodsy spice and both moderate weight and ripeness. Drinking well already.

France 2013 - Côte d'Or; 4/20/2013-4/23/2013 (Beaune): Tasted at the Domaine. From half bottle. Bit darker, some savory notes with hints of wood/meat/spice. Quite structured with drying tannins. Good length. Seems very masculine coming after the Cras. Nice acidity and firm tannins. Needs 10+ years. Very good now and should improve. Very good. 89+
