Deep ruby. Medium + ripe nose of blackcurrants and toast. Jammy, though not confected. Palate pretty soft, gentle tannins and med length. Easy drinking, nothing complex. Well made and approachable. Good. Drink soon.

Morocco aside (one for the books) this is a bit underwhelming. Dry and a bit boney with not much flavour penetration. More European in feel than new world but this is giving me donuts. No worries hanging onto this but not sure where it's going.

I respect this wine. Clearly Morocco can grow good fruit while caring for the environment. Graillot’s involvement is confident, playful, but not straining to impress anyone. His Syrocco shows off clean, modestly extracted cherry, tomato, and fig fruits. Acidity keeps this otherwise soft, ripe, modern wine in check. Oak merely tempers the hard edges and fringes them in spice. Syrocco is Rick’s Café Américain: an alcoholic sanctuary in an Arab world; familiar, comfortable but decorated with a mixed, interesting, and at times, dangerous clientele. Tastes more like a Carignane or Cinsault. Rather smoky with pomegranate. Nice stuff overall. Would purchase again.

Off-dry, mild fruity taste. But not stellar
