  Grands Crus of Morey St-Denis with Jasper Morris MW (Zoom!): Vines planted in 1905. Destemmed again, but no new oak.
  
  Hugely rich nose - the hedonistic style is classic CSD. Opulent on the palate, but balanced with a nice tang. Creamy and so easy to drink. Astonishingly expensive though (£550/bottle). Group and Jasper WOTN

  Grand Tasting - La Paulee de San Francisco (Westin St. Francis - San Francisco CA): Superb ripe red and black fruit with a great rose/floral aromatic quality. Same great fruit on palate with wonderful spice. Long and powerful, perhaps just slightly less in both regards vs. the Clos de la Roche, but this is more alluring and perfumed.
