{screwcap, 14.5%} Dark garnet, verging on ruby. Vaguely anonymous modern red wine aromas; less Langhorne eucalypt than you might expect. Instead, mostly warm-climte shiraz notes with a touch of assertive darker fruits. The palate is pretty mainstream, barely-medium finely gritty tannins, not much acid, the alcohol remaining in check; and ripe generic dark fruit flavour build into a medium-bodied finish of short-medium length. A little more interesting than a plain commercial/bulk quaffer; but hardly a tribute to the legendary vintages of the 60s and 70s.
