  Light ruby with definite rim variation. Moderate intensity with red cherry, raspberry and cranberry and dry potpourri with a hint of spice as well as tertiary notes of earth, tobacco, and forrest floor. Palate follows the nose, medium acid, medium tannin, medium alcohol all nicely balanced with the fruit and tertiary characteristics. Medium body and lean. Finish is lacking, medium minus, perhaps the only weak point IMO, I found myself really wanting more. Great for what it is, and perhaps over performs at the price point ($37.19). Purchased on release form K&L, placed in storage and forgotten till this week. Glad I have one more.

  Fine, but not really my cup of tea. From a ripe vintage and modern producer, this was just thin and uninteresting. Nothing wrong with it, but other things I would rather have for the (low) price I paid.
