Translucent, and all the more so at the edges. Color attending toward orange brick. Earthy, a hint of funk, and showing some tertiary characteristics. Elegant, and a good accompaniment to roasted salmon. Quite enjoyable over three nights, but if we had more, we would not hold more than a few years.

Pleasant, but reticent nose. Red and dark fruits, less acidity than I expected, and a harsh, woody finish. It might improve with time, but its upside seems a bit limited.

Mongeard-Mugneret (Arlequin SF): Light ruby to a red rim. Weirdly earthy, green nose of wet decaying leaves, greenish fertilizer, warm dog fur (brett), damp earth. No overt oak. Not fruit-driven. m body, m alcohol, m- tannins.

I liked this. Dull-red. It had this floral, red-berries nose, but yet, also had some of that plummy/earthly notes. Round, rich flavors with smooth tannins. Good complexity and length! A VFM (value-4-$) wine!
