Bottle kept in wine fridge since purchase. All pours aerated. A bit of pepper with a hint of complexity, but quickly moving to watered-down nothing. Do not recommend.

This bottle was pretty funky, and potentially a bit flawed. A little bit of fruit, but also some odd wood tastes that were overpowering. Got a little better with some air, but this was far from my favorite.

Visually: Dark, almost inky purple-burgundy, allowing almost no light through.
Nose: A bit hot, but also inviting notes of dark fruit, tobacco, and leather, and maybe a hint of spice.
Tasted: Oddly-mouth puckering, but not unpleasantly. Tannins and a bit of acidity, but also something else, almost vaguely chalky - like that feeling in your mouth when eating spinach. Mineral-earthy, I suppose. The dark fruit (especially dried cherry, maybe a little blackberry), tobacco and leather are there as promised, and the spice shows through on the finish which lingers nicely. Light bodied with a deceptively aggressive mouthfeel - sort of like young Chianti, but without the bite.
