I thought this was a great bottle of US pinot. Bright, giving fruit, but with a lightness and freshness that kept it from being over the top. Drinking quite well now, although there is a bit of tannic structure on the back end, perhaps a candidate for some more time in the cellar.
While this Pinot isn't my exact style with its very tart cherry fruit along with a bitter finish, there is good fruit and its a well made wine. More old style with its hints of earth and grass, you must decant for at least an hour to fully enjoy.
Big bouquet with oodles of ripe blackberry on the nose. Lovely acidity on the palate with some chewy, resolved tannins surrounding strawberry jam on the palate. This one's a winner. Wish I'd bought more!
