Decanted for one hour. Medium to full bodied. Black currant, herbs, mocha and tobacco come through. Well integrated tannins, good balance but lacks a bit of complexity and length. This doesn’t feel like a long ager. I’d drink it in the next 5-10 years.

Cabernet Sauvignon Dinner in DC (Eric and Janet's House in DC): Wow, Gobsmacked with red fruits on the nose. This was mostly redfruited at this point, some light black fruits seeping in. This had the typical smooth low tannin, low acid hallmark of alot of Napa cabs. Again not my thing, but this is a well made wine and was reasonably balanced, but just not as complex as it could be.

Beautiful Napa nose of dark fruit, earth and eucalyptus. Plum, blackberry and mint on the palate. Smooth, big tannins and velvety finish. Not quite as integrated as the '08 Dr. Crane tasted along side with it.

a very fine wine that borders on massive. Giving it an hours decant rewarded us with a wine that is very well balanced, garnet in color, long legs, and constantly evolving nose & tastes of, black currant, blackberry - dark fruits, forest floor, coffee, fig. and a hint of pepper. All this, with silky/integrated tannins and a long finish, earned this rating.
