Outstanding, still tasting great !! I agree with my tasting note of a fmonth ago. Really shined at dinner with friends. Perfect cork easily removed. Great fruit and even better winemaking from Ted Lemon !!

Wow, this wine is delicious and at peak !! A somewhat dry cork after over a decade in the bottle, removed without drama. Consumed over two days and from the first sip I knew, this is a very special wine. This balanced wine showed more fruit on the first day and I had to resist dinking it all. Fortunately I saved half for day two where this mature wine really started to shine. This balanced wine had softened just a little to an increased depth and integrated complexity. Medium ruby color with no oxidation and excellent clarity. Aromas of red cherry and cranberry. Flavors of bing cherry, raspberry, and rhubarb with a hint of baking spice. This Pinot Noir has a medium to long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir. This wine is fully extracted California style and is the perfect example of what make me love Pinot Noir. This wine may have more years of life remaining, fortunately I still have one bottle of this vintage remaining in the cellar. A great fruit sources from from the Roman Vineyard in the Anderson Valley appellation of Mindocino County. All of these elements and great winemaking from Ted Lemmon combine to consistently produce a fine Pinot Noir.

This wine is still well within it's prime drinking window 11+ years later. I found the wine less fruit forward with less "dusty tannins" and much more refined and structured than early reviews suggest. Importantly this is expected AS LONG AS THE WINE HOLDS UP, which is frequently not the case with aughts pinots. But the spice and cherry/plumb/dark berry is still very prominent and delicious. I'll hold off on suggesting I taste the violet and rose and hope to continue refining my palate there but if you get that more power to you. This is still worth buying but I would buy to drink in 2021 or 2022 rather than to put away for any length of time.

One of the most interesting domestic pinots I've ever tasted. Such deep dark fruit while keeping pinot typicity (unlike many of the "usual suspects"). The exotic savory notes were beautiful, and the super long finish displayed a perfect balance of resolved tannin (from oak?), fruit and acidity.

The tannins are relatively resolved. In a nice spot for drinking but should hold up for some time. Good to check in on the 2009 vintage which I’m waiting on for most part
