Had this at the college square tasting on Saturday, February 4th. This is a big wine for the price ($11.99 tasting price). Lots of fruit and big mouth feel. Fruity nose and big tannins. Vibrant red color edges that go to a deep red hue. Purchased 3 bottles and curious how the wine turns out.

Testing for cheap daily drinkers. Pop-n-pour. Blend of cabernet sauvignon, zinfandel, and petit sirah. Supposedly napa cab, dry creek zin. For $15 msrp? I dunno... I got it for $12. Label proclaims 14.1% alcohol. Initially some sulfites on the nose, so I swirled around to let it aerate some more. Ripe fruits, spicy aromas that would be typical of cab and zinfandel. A fair bit of oak spice. In the mouth, round, ripe flavors. It's not flabby but it's at borderline with some acidic backbone kicking in. Good value for daily drinker if you're in the mood for some oak. I wonder if there is just a tad of residual sugar, or if there is some megapurple or oak staves in steel tanks as flavors enhancers and cost reducers. In anycase, for $12, it's fine with a weekday pizza or roast chicken type of night.
