A classic Sta Rita Pinot with wonderful aromas of mineral, earth, red fruit and spice. The palate revealed cherry and spice, with a silky mouthfeel and long lingering finish. The wild cherry stayed on my tongue long after that final sip. Loved this wine.

Drinking perfectly now, but still with a lot of life ahead. Medium-dark in garnet-crimson color, rich and complex aromas of red fruit and spice. Palate opened with wild cherry, clove and Asian spice, showing lots of complex personality through the long finish. Still a nice acidic backbone, and totally delicious.

Slightly translucent purple/garnet in color, with classic aromas of black cherry, cinnamon, Asian spice and forest floor, all of which carry to the palate in a terrifically complex ménage of flavors as the wine changes over time. Basic flavor profile is very DRC-like, but with telltale Sta. Rita Hills' snappiness and richness. Don't know how Flying Goat can produce such excellent wines from so many sources year after year, vintage after vintage, but this one is a superstar in our opinion.

Appealing mineral and earth aromas with subtle cherry and light spice; silky mouth with lots of mineral aspect; elegant, long cherry infused finish. Excellent effort and hate to say it, but quite "Burgundian". 14.4%
