Coming from someone who does not care much for Merlot, this is a great wine for the price point. Opens up immediately, good fruit with a little heat. Would recommend.

For the money (11$), a really nice find and worthy of consistent drinking. Earthy, hints of chocolate, dark fruits and decent backbone. Babcock used to be pricey but it appears he is creating great value wines now. Recommend.

Nice, easy going Merlot. Consider this a guilt free wine. You don't feel guilty when you pop one open for any reason.
