Colour: dark gold/light orange Nose: a mix of ripe fruit and evolved kerosene characters. Mango. Lemon and lemon peel. Lime and quinine (tonic water). Stone fruit. Kerosene. Palate: again, ripe fruit and kerosene. Mango, lemon peel, lime. Stone fruit Kerosene. Crunchy phenolics, a touch of heat. Stoney and minerally on finish. Austere stoney citrusy acid - lively and fresh. Long on palate, medium bodied. Balanced. 13% alcohol.

Finally! I do not remember how many bottles of this vintage I have had, but finally this is really good. Just entering its drinking window, with a small amount of petrol mixing well with the honeydripping, sweet fruit. Maybe I should not give up on riesling after all? Do not drink too coold.

Not much acid left, yet this wine is not quite integrated. 1 hour of decanting is recommended. If you look for "petroleum" in you riesling you should wait a few more years.

A premature mixture of honey and fruit. Starting to come around. In 6-12 months this will have reached 93 pts.

Surprisingly mature, however the fruit is not quite sweet.
