A beautiful bottle. Obviously, way too young to be breaking open a magnum of this, but circumstances dictated. Gave it a decent decant and it was soft enough when we got to it. The nose was not terribly expressive (could be our fault for opening at this stage), but the pallette was fantastic. Sour cherry and peach pit (as noted by others previously). Anis notes as well. Great structure and exceptionally pure feel. Classic style and excellent value.

i love this producer, but the 2007 vintage in Piedmont for me is just so so. The cut and focus, and heart of nebbiolo that i normally look for and get in this wine is missing. It is a good wine, it is a basic barbaresco, but does not have the same soul as wines coming from the cooler vintages.

Highly fragrant, floral, licorice, roast beef, violets and kirsch. Medium body on entry with sweet cherry, tarragon and citrus at mid. There is a peach pit-like quality to the flavors and tannin at mid that lasts on the long, savory finish. Huge red fruit amd star anise with good length but this is drying. Will this come around with time. It has the stuffing to last and has some very pretty elements.

No formal notes. Opened at the Hollywood Bowl. Delicious fruit, tobacco, italian earth. Loved it. Great value.
