  • Translucent ruby red colour turning orange at the rim. This has a lovely complex nose that develops with air to show tar, earth, red fruits, leather, blood orange and floral notes. Medium bodied on the palate with plenty of acidity and flavours of orange and cherry over spices, leather and herbs. Finish is slightly awkward and astringent with dry grainy tannins showing on the back along with a little warmth (even though this is only 13.5% alc). Overall, very enjoyable and a pleasure to sit down with a bottle of this and a good meal.

  • A feminine and graceful Barbaresco. Light ruby, with some bricking, the earthy nose of roses and tar is an immediate draw. it is open and expressive, with gorgeous ephemeral notes. Good fruit in the mouth, with some cherry and dried herbs, as well as distinct gamey and leather overtones. Still tight, and austere, with razor-like acidity and tannin. Evolving gracefully.
